Privacy policy

The K4 Ventures GK is responsible for proper protection of privacy to respond to confidence of our customers and society and fulfill our mission as a trustworthy enterprise. We hereby declare that we deal with our costumers’ personal information held by us as follows;

1. Basic Principles

We fully recognize that personal information should be carefully handled under the philosophy of respective individuals' personalities, comply with relevant laws and regulations stipulated for handling personal information, and deal with the personal information to pay proper attention to the privacy rights. We also continue to review the way of handling the personal information as necessary for improvement.

2. Acquisition of personal information

We obtain personal information appropriately without fraudulent or other illegal means.

3. Use of personal information
  1. (1) We use personal information held by us in order to carry out our business appropriately and smoothly.
  2. (2) We do not handle personal information held by us beyond the range necessary for achieving the purpose of using the information specified in the provision (1) above without obtaining prior consent of the person who owns the information.
  3. (3) However, the paragraph (2) above does not apply to the cases listed below;
    1. a) Requirement by the relevant laws and regulations
    2. b) When the personal information is necessary to be handled otherwise for the protection of the life, body or property of a person, and prior consent of the owner of the personal information is difficult to obtain.
    3. c) When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of healthy fostering of children, and prior consent of the owner of the personal information is difficult to obtain.
    4. d) In case where it is necessary for us to cooperate with a national agency, a local public entity or a person receiving consignment from them in conducting duties required by the relevant laws and regulations, and obtaining consent of the owner of the personal information is likely to interfere conducting the said duties.
4. Disclosure / provision to third parties

We do not disclose or provide personal data held by us to third parties unless it falls under any of the following cases.

  1. (1) When there is consent of the person who owns the information
  2. (2) Requirement by the relevant laws and regulations
  3. (3) When it is necessary to protect the life, body or property of a person, and prior consent of the owner of the information is difficult to obtain
  4. (4) When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of healthy fostering of children, and prior consent of the owner of the personal information is difficult to obtain.
  5. (5) In case where it is necessary for us to cooperate with a national agency, a local public entity or a person receiving consignment from them in conducting duties required by the relevant laws and regulations, and obtaining consent of the owner of the personal information is likely to interfere conducting the said duties.
  6. (6) In case where it is necessary for us to disclose the personal information to our subcontractors for our business operation provided that:
    Prior confirmation is made to the subcontractors through execution of confidentiality agreement to make certain that the personal information is handled appropriately.
5. Secure safety management and up-to-date

In using and storing personal data, we take appropriate safety measures against dangers such as loss, destruction, tampering, leakage, unauthorized access to the information system. In addition, we endeavor to keep personal information held by us accurate and up-to-date to the extent necessary for attaining our purpose of using the personal information.

6. Disclosure, Presentation, etc.
  1. (1) We respond to requests for disclosure, correction, etc of the personal information data held by us from its owner, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Specific procedures are described in" Disclosure matters based on the Information Protection Law, etc." attached separately.
  2. (2) In case we are unable to respond to requests for disclosure, correction etc stipulated in the paragraph (1) above due to provisions of relevant laws and regulations, we notify it with explanation of the reasons.
